On January 1st, 2020, the new package of measures to ban non-degradable plastic bags came into force in Austria.
Thus, the use of any kind of plastic bags (plastic bags) and bags is completely forbidden. Products made from biodegradable material such as corn starch or sugar cane are now being used.
The ban includes both large shopping chains and small takeaways or pharmacies. However, solutions and transitional provisions for small businesses and retailers are being worked out together with retailers and companies.
As a solution, we also offer our customers in Austria fully biodegradable bags. A TÜV Austria certification is therefore also given for our products.
Fabric bags and non-woven bags can also be used as an alternative.
